Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using Ndururu ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What Ndururu is

Ndururu is a personal finance tracking tool for recording transactions, accounts, budgets, loans, savings goals, and related financial information, denominated in Kenyan Shillings (KES). It is a record-keeping and insight tool — it does not move money, initiate payments, or act as a financial institution.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to use the App.

4. Subscription plans and billing

Ndururu offers a Free plan and paid Plus and Pro plans; current prices and features are shown on the pricing page. Every new account receives a 30-day trial of Plus at no charge and with no card required. At the end of the trial you move to the Free plan unless you subscribe.

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly or annual) and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
  • Payments are processed by Paystack, our third-party payment processor, in Kenyan Shillings.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from Settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep paid-plan access until the end of the period you've already paid for, then move to the Free plan.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we retry it over the following days. If it continues to fail, your account enters a short grace period before reverting to the Free plan.
  • Fees already charged are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any amounts, balances, or records you enter — Ndururu does not verify this information against your actual bank or mobile money accounts. You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings; payment receipts and billing records are retained after deletion for accounting and legal compliance purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App — including attempting to access another user's data, interfering with the App's normal operation, or using the App for unlawful purposes.

7. No financial advice

Nothing in the App constitutes financial, tax, investment, or legal advice — this includes Rafiki, our AI advisor. Any summaries, charts, insights, or proposals it drafts are provided for informational purposes only, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and are never applied to your account without your explicit review and approval.

8. Availability and changes

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and the App may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. Ndururu is currently an early-access product and may change significantly as it matures.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ndururu and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any financial decisions you make based on information in the App.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute arising from them or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. If a future update is material, you will be asked to review and re-accept the updated Terms the next time you log in.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the in-app feedback form.
